-About Us-

www.LifeAfterLasik.com  was founded by hurt LASIK patient and entrepreneur Dean Andrew Kantis (Founder and President of, www.MicroJetNetwork.com , a Micro Jet Aircraft Brokerage based out of Fort Lauderdale, FL) in 2005 in order to help potential LASIK patients (and existing damaged LASIK patients) truly understand ALL of the known and unknown risks of "LIES" 'LASIK Irreversible Eye Surgery:"

  • Every LASIK patient is at risk for future LASIK complications.
  • Disabling and potentially blinding complications of LASIK can occur months or years after a seemingly successful surgery.
  • Not all LASIK patients realize the harm they suffered from LASIK; nonetheless, the damage is there.
  • Medical research demonstrates that the LASIK flap never heals and may be accidentally dislodged for the rest of a patient's lifetime.
  • LASIK is serious surgery with the potential for disabling and blinding complications.
  • LASIK harms every eye.
  • LASIK complications are not rare: they are common.
  • The cornea is permanently weakened and may develop a condition called ectasia  which is essentially structural failure of the surgically weakened cornea. Ectasia can develop weeks, months, or years later, leading to vision loss and the possible need for corneal transplant.
  • Corneal nerves which stimulate tear production are cut and burned during LASIK, and these nerves never fully recover -- potentially leading to permanent dry eye disease.
  • LASIK-induced dry eye can be disabling.
  • Having LASIK causes problems in the future for glaucoma screening and cataract surgery -- prompting the FDA to recommend that LASIK patients obtain a copy of their LASIK medical records.
  • There is a persistent loss corneal cells (keratocytes) after LASIK -- it is unknown how this decrease affects long-term viability of the cornea.
  • Visual quality at night is permanently reduced after LASIK, even when the patient has 20/20 or better daytime vision. To add insult to injury, visual outcomes of LASIK decline over time.
  • The term "LASIK success" is like saying "the surgery was a success but the patient died".

Unfortunately, the most/all LASIK staff and physicians spend more time going over the credit card and payment options to get your $5,000 for 15 minutes worth of work, then describing the reality of the above Adverse Events/Complications.

And if and when there is a problem with 1 or both of your eyes, remember each of you has (2) eyes per patient, or (2) patients, the LASIK doctor will most likely attempt to keep you coming back, tied into them, for at least 2 years so they can try to push you past the Statute of Limitations, "the time frame necessary to SUE your LASIK clinic, Laser Company, Staff, and Physician."

Well now you know this.  No where is this information given to you or mentioned to you.  What the LASIK facility will give you, is a Informed Consent Form, which describes all of the above potential problems, and then at the bottom a place for you to sign that you "understand that any or all of those could happen to you and even if they botched the procedure, that you will hold them harmless in litigating for MED MAL damages."

Why do you think they make you sign this form when it protects the LASIK doctor, Laser Company, and staff while hurts the patients chances of ever suing for permanent eye damages, loss of work, pain, etc..?

Answer:  They truly do not care about you and your suffering, and it is many people's belief as it is mine, that they are all violating the HO Hippocratic Oath to do "no harm" as well as possible Criminal Laws which if investigated properly by sources outside of the FDA, would possibly incriminate top FDA officials as well as top LASIK respected physicians.

This website exposes their lies, and is working to bring back justice to the medical arena...
