Glenn Hagele who also controls USAEyes or Complicated Eyes.
They usually will only point you to a CRSQA doctor who pays Glenn a

Hagele has attempted to "blackmail" hurt lasik patients that have

Hello. My name is not important, but I am 36 years old, and I
would like to tell you my personal story
of what happened after I
had LASIK SURGERY performed on both of my eyes...
LASIK SURGEONS, are misrepresenting the true facts about this
procedure.
There are much greater numbers of unhappy Post LASIK patients,
than
the <1% they advertise. The number I have heard is more like an
astonishing 35%. Wow. That is 35 out of 100 patients do have
VALID
complaints POST surgery and around 5% have TERRIBLE POST conditions
that leave these patients “functionless,” “depressed,”
“divorced,”
and “suicidal.” LASIK SURGICAL procedure, permanently scars and alters the
surface of the cornea.Example: Most people’s eyes PRE LASIKsurgery, are
like a
nice smooth piece of glass (unaltered and very correctible with
lenses, etc…) After the LASIK surgery, the cornea’s surface becomes
“IRREGULAR” and the level of this difference can change the day of
surgery and can keep changing from there on out. This IRREGULAR
cornea can leave the poor patient with eyes that become “uncorrectable” with contact lenses, RGP’s (rigid gas perm
lenses/hard lenses),
Scleral Lenses (big RGP lenses), glasses, and
other Macro Lenses…
Surgery Defined For You: Surgery is
mutilation of living tissue and all surgery is invasive. It doesn't
matter whether it is done with a knife or laser. There is always
scar tissue and there are different levels of permanent damage of
this scar tissue.
Lasik Surgeons will NOT perform these procedures
unless you “sign away your rights to sue them even if the surgeon is
at fault.” Wow.
That sounds fair doesn’t it? So, if they mess
up, and do not do a good job on your only eyes, they are not held
liable and you are left
with a daily challenge to function without
being able to see correctly and/or even be “correctable” with
glasses or contacts.
FACT #1:
Should your cornea become “abnormal” POST LASIK, there is NOT
ONE,
I repeat…there is NOT ONE surgical procedure available or contact
lens/glasses available as of today: July 2005, that has a high
success rate of correcting your abnormalities where the odds are in
your favor,
and worse yet, another procedure could make your
existing nightmare ten times worse! Would you take the chance
again?
FACT #2: It could cost you
around $5,000 - $8,000 for each set of custom made contact lenses
and doctors visits every couple of years (since your eyes are
constantly
changing and evolving) just to get you “by.” And
even then, there is no guarantee that there are such lensesavailable to get
you “by.”
FACT #3:
I did this procedure because I felt that there was a 99% or better
success rate, when in reality, I am finding that is totally
misrepresented
amongst most Surgical Refractive Doctors and their
Money Machine Making Clinics!

BEFORE choosing a “life altering opt-in type of surgery” such as
LASIK, WAVEFRONT, RK, etc…than these might talk you out of it,

STATUTE OF LIMITATIONS:
If you are being lied to by your lasik doctor, who is telling you a
bunch of bullshit like:
"Sorry mr/mrs patient...you are one of the unlucky ones in the 5%
that lasik doesn't work for because YOUR EYES healed
differently...It just didn't work for you but it has worked for
thousands of others...Or...you need to see a physhiatrist because
from what I see, your eyes are perfect...there is nothing wrong with
your eyes...you must be making this up..."
Immediately audio tape the doctor telling your and feeding you this
crap, as this will come in very handy down the road when you goto
court and play it in front of the judge, jury and upload it to
YOUTUBE.com and GOOGLE VIDEO so that all can see what a liar these
guys are.
Find out about the Statute of Limitations is in your state and get
started immediately on finding a lawyer who has won a lasik case
against a lasik doctor. You may no longer be able to pursue seeking Legal Council against
a Surgical Procedure gone bad if you wait on suing...the longer you
wait, the harder it is to find an attorney to take your case on a
"contingency basis." (Usually, this timeframe
is under 3
years, each state varies).
So make sure if your surgeon says, “your
eyes could take up to 5-7 years” to fully heal, as my surgeon had
told me,
to make sure that you seek legal council within that
timeframe allowed by the state. Your
legal rights, and your power, is to voice your personal story about
any doctor at any time. That is your ammunition, and that is your
right in America! I have
letters going out to the FDA about making sure that surgeons are
presenting the true, hard facts about these Eye Surgical
Procedures: Lasik, Lasek, Laser Kerotonomy, RK, PRK, Wavefront
Technology, Visx Custom View…
Ok, enough…Now here is my personal story for you to read: After hearing about the “so called success” of LASIK procedures, and
how they are painless and only takes a few minutes per eye, and you
go in with
your glasses, and there is a empty container on the
physician’s counter so that on your way out you can toss “your
glasses” away…and all of the radio
ads and disc jockeys painting
that perfect picture of “perfect vision” and no more messy, itchy
contacts to wear or buy…oh, and those beautiful models
smiling on
the billboard ads, etc…
Wow,
do I feel stupid! They say there is a sucker born every minute and
now I am one of those suckers! I even thought that if I fly to
Chicago from
Fort Lauderdale to have a relative of my mother’s
perform the procedure, that I would even get “extra attention” and
the procedure would “be even
better odds” since it was someone my
family knew and trusted.
From the
point of the Lasik procedure to the present time, I can barely drive at night nor
can I see well enough to competitive in sports like tennis & golf,
and I now make very clumsy mistakes as if I had no athleticism at
all! I absolutely have lost what clear & precise vision I
had once enjoyed with contacts
& glasses…I am now very concerned, as are
thousands and thousands of others who made the decision to
"permanently alter their eyeballs for life."
After going to over 8 doctors that specialize in POST/PRE Lasik, I
have been diagnosed with: 1.
The procedure is at fault and did not create flaps dead center on
both eyes.
2. Because of this, there is an angled flap and the laser procedure
hit both of my eyes on an angle.
3. Worse yet, Dr. Caro used a laser that he should have never have
used on my eyes at the time, because my eyes dilate larger than most
individuals,
and the procedure didn’t hit the entire surface area
that I see out of.
So simply put, at that time, I was NOT a
candidate for this procedure and he did it anyway knowing this.
4. I am no longer seeing sharp, crisp images, but more like
smeared, Vaseline imaging.
5. I am no longer correctible to see a crystal clear 20/20 vision.
6. I have not been able to find any contact lenses or glasses to
help correct these problems and I have spent thousands of dollars
and have missed work
to take off, and this doctor won't even refund
my louzy $1,000.00
7. My eyes, as we all age, will continue to change, and there is no
telling what will happen later on.
8. I have halos, star effects, and double vision both indoors and
at night.
9. See topography maps of both eyes, and notice how uneven the
colors are. The colors represent depth and/or height and show
the
severity of what the
Lasik procedure had created. Before, the
topography maps were much more smooth and mostly one color!
I have
not improved much more over the last 6 years and find myself unable
to play sports because my hand, eye coordination
has never been the
same since my LASIK DISASTER. I can not focus like I used to on
emailing or tasks. I get headaches from excessive eye strain.
I
find it hard to read because words looked buzzed in each single eye
and/or both eyes open together. Worse yet, I have spent $10,000 ++
in doctor’s bills,
different contacts, and that is not to mention
time away from work. I feel depressed at times because I can not
perform simple tasks at the speed at which
I was used to performing. I’m only 36 years old!
At this point, I have concluded, that there is no technology
available today for the tens of thousands of POST LASIK DISASTERS
such as mine…
(Thus,
the FDA should first get involved to prohibit these refractive
procedures since there is not a guaranteed procedure in place to fix
what these so many
doctors are “messing up.”
Honestly, I would not spend the time writing this letter if I did
not care as much as I do about wanting to warn you and others that
you may know, against the procedure…because so many doctors are NOT
being honest with you and I, and they need to make their Mercedes
car payments,
buy their wives the Country Club Lifestyle, while you
and I are the victims of their “success.” This is truly
unacceptable to me. First, I could never make a
living off of the
“misery” of some other person or animal. What a terrible way to
earn (steal) a living!
Lastly: All we can do is to hope that there is a
procedure that can fix the current unfixable, and get us back to a
clean slate: A unaltered, virgin-smooth,
cornea so that we can
obtain “correctable vision.” I as many other POST LASIK PATIENTS
FEEL, that doctors should be realistically forthcoming
with actual
statistics that show patients their “success rate” and then back
that up by defining their version of “success rate.” Many doctors
are
stretching their meaning of “success rate.” They say that 99%
of their patients are successful and because those odds seem so much
in the patient’s
favor, just about anybody opts to do such a
surgery. This is terrible…Doctors are messing with your eyes; how
you view your life! In
reality, only
an estimated 60% of Post Lasik patients are completely
happy and do not have continued irritation, enhancements, contacts
in one eye, glass
spectacles in one eye, itching, dry eye, halos,
blur, double vision, ghosting effects, and starbursts. This
means that 40% of the patients are
really not totally happy!!
This is a huge number and a huge concern! Would you go up in an
airplane if you had a 40% chance of crashing??
I mean, really,
think about it:
But, when one investigates this supposed patient success rate of
99%, one will
find that as many as 60% of those same patients are
complaining about: -Star/glare/halos at night and in doors…
-OR… I
they can no longer be correctible to 20/20 as they were PRE LASIK…or
the new 20/20 is a "terrible
quality" 20/20. Do you know what it is like to see 20/20 Post
Lasik, but now that 20/20 is smeared?
-OR…
they are seeing a slight “double vision effect…”
-OR…
when they look out of their eyes now, they appear to have Vaseline
in them and the razor sharp vision they once had, is now gone
forever…
-OR…
“They have lost their job and can’t even drive a car and are now
divorced because of this procedure…”
-OR…“They are in need of a corneal transplant because their eyes are
ruined…”
-OR…
“They are over their head in debt from spending money on doctors,
other surgeries to perfect the
LASIK nightmare, and are in dire
straits…”
The FDA needs to get involved in a huge way. The following needs to
be
monitored to improve these procedures and minimize “failure
rates:”
1.
Get rid of all of the old laser machines that aren’t “state of the
art” to maximize the
patient’s chances of success the first time.
Strictly shut down any facility that is still using them.
2.
Get rid of all of the “one stop chop shop doctors” that are clearly
running a “business”
and going for the volume of patients that have
many reports of unhappy patient issues.
3.
Monitor each doctor’s level of success by randomly selecting
patients, and filling out a “POST surgical form” about how
the
patient is doing 1,3,5,10 years down the road. (what the doctor’s
are not telling the patients, is that the eyes are constantly
changing and in as few as 1 year, the patient could be back on
lenses).
4.
MANDATORY CONSENT FORM that each patient signs that clearly shows
the correct statistics thus far, which is more like 40% of
patients
performing this procedure have some type of complaint or ongoing
challenge.
5.
MANDATORY CONSENT FORM that tells the patient they are “okay” with
the fact that this procedure will “PERMANTLY ALTER THEIR
CORNEA” and
that as of today, there is NO KNOWN medical procedure to correct it,
and list the amounts of money and procedures that
they could have to
go thru, if this procedure doesn’t work out.
6.
MANDATORY CONSENT FORM that informs the patient that this procedure
could cause blindness, non-
-reversible vision disorders such as: halos, double vision, blurred
vision, and “permanent irregularities.”
Also, be VERY careful of CRSQA headed
by a Glenn Hagele who also controls USAEyes or Complicated Eyes.
They usually will only point you to a CRSQA doctor who pays Glenn a
membership yearly to "drum up business."
I hope

right questions. I was even told by one of my 8 specialist doctors,
that if you ask the Refractive Surgeon the following question, that
he/she
should tell you the correct answer: Here is the question:

Lasik Doctor that is ready to make money off of me by completely changing
my one
and only pair of Corneas, what is the best possible corrective
option that will give me the clearest, and sharpest
visible results
for corrective vision if to see as clearly and as precisely and as
sharply and as colorfully as possible, what
procedure would you
recommend knowing that THIS IS MY GOAL?” The
correct answer:
taught by Heads of Opthalmology Departments and
Universities all over the world is simply:
A Gas
Permeable Lens NOT Lasik because it alters a "perfectly clear/sharp
virgin cornea."
